150k in Bank with 3 trades remaining...


Team to field this week...


Lids,  Enright, Goddard, Shaw, Gibbs, Adcock, Fisher (Nicholson, Pederson, Thompson)

Swan, Boyd, Ablett, Selwood, Thompson, Hibberd (Hodge, Smith, Atley)

Cox, Smith (Lobbe, Spencer)

Chapman, Sylvia, Fyfe, Pavlich, Goodes, O'Keefe, Mzungu (Franklin, Howes, Markovic)


The plan is to get Suckling in for Rd 19, but my question to everyone is should I use the remaining 2 trades after this to upgrade Smith to McEvoy or get another midfielder? I know people will probably say hold trades but I am in a strong cash league and need the best possible team going into finals and hope my bench is strong enough to cover any injuries...

Any thoughts or feedback would be great fellas!

Well using your trades up is pretty risky...so I've been told...

I'll be in the same position as you (2 trades going into finals with Cox, Smith)

If you used up your trades on getting McEvoy in and someone in your mid/fwd got injured, you don't have sufficient bench cover imo...and would be in real trouble come the Geelong bye.

If you insist on trading, then your current plan seems the best alternative.

with only 3 trades and so many rounds to go not sure how you can consider using them

Your team looks good enough, Smith to Mcevoy might get you another 30points on avg so i dont think it is worth it

yeah thanks guys, talked me out of it... you need to sound these boards to get the crazy out of your thinking!!

if i can keep 2 trades going into rd 22 i should be ok - even better if i skip to preliminaries! then again 3 LTI's over the next 4 weeks may mean zero trades going into finals!

if only i applied myslef to my job as much as DT...
