10 trades left and $1,600 in the bank (sitting 335 overall but looking at league wins)

BUCKELY â€" CALLINAN
KRAKOUER - SWAN

Def: Enright, Gibbs, Deledio, Shaw, Fisher, Goddard, Lower (Nicholson, Jacobs, Puopolo)
Mid: Ablett, Boyd, Judd, Pendlebury, Priddis , Krakouer (Buckley, Smith. I, Irons)
Ruck: Cox, Jamar (McCauley, Tippett)
For: Goodes, O’Keefe, Riewoldt. N, Chapman, Pavlich, Mzungu (Franklin, Rioli, Richardson)

Is it worth the risk, considering CALLINAN is still injured? Hopefully he would be back after the multi bye meaning I would only need to cover him for 2 weeks.

leave b. jacobs in the middle

then

buckley > talia
krak > swan

that way you keep the MPP.

Will be about 8k short if I make this trade and won't be able to get Swan.

I can bring in Talia next week for Nicholson or Jacobs to keep the MPP.

charliesheen

nah talia has a different mpp fwd/back mate.  you will lose the mids

charliesheen

just curious, with the next multi-round byes

richmond/syd/brisbane, do you care if you get donuts, and it impacting your overall?  or do you want to avoid it?

you could put talia in the forwards by swapping mzungu and i.smiths positions thne upgrading krakoar.

Not so worried about overall. Hoping Rioli is back for the multi round bye and then I can straight swap Goodes and O'Keefe for Franklin and Rioli. Deledio can be swapped with an Emergency.

Putting Talia in the forward line would give me a donut this week wouldn't it?

charliesheen

Talia is in the starting team this week mate.  This would keep MPP.

Team would like like this

Def: Enright, Gibbs, Deledio, Shaw, Fisher, Goddard, Lower (Nicholson, Jacobs, Puopolo)
Mid: Ablett, Boyd, Judd, Pendlebury, Priddis , Swan (Buckley, Mzungu. I, Irons)
Ruck: Cox, Jamar (McCauley, Tippett)
For: Goodes, O’Keefe, Riewoldt. N, Chapman, Pavlich, Talia (Franklin, Rioli, Richardson)

Ah not bad, now you have given me something to think about. With Talia's MPP being a strange one (forward/defense) how would this be an advantage besides defensive cover during byes?

What is his JS like (Luke Thompson to come back?) compared with I. Smith. The reason I was looking at trading out Buckley is for this reason with Ben Johnson back in the side.

charliesheen

in your case, its not really an advantage.  the problem is we need a downgrade without losing the mid/back MPP which is important.

sometimes you need to compromise and take a risk on a rookie, in order to make an upgrade happen.

another option is Ben Griffith, but his scoring potential is very question, despite having probably better js.

boneman

I can certainly see the logic in the trade. I have used the Mid/For MPP alot more this year with only Goddard being shifted from defense. Looking at the remaining fixtures bar injury I could get away with losing the Mid/Def MPP(Richmond and Carlton byes could be the only ones to watch closely).

I will be pondering your advice however right up until lock out!

you didnt read it right, move jacobs into middle, hence keeping the mpp with mids, then swap buckley to talia. Best option of lot i reckon

i think he said he was 8k short if he did that.  above ^^

charliesheen

i guess you could do this as well

buckley > talia
krak > s. thompson

which will fit in your budget.  his no swan but still should average 110.
