Backs: Fisher, Shaw, Goddard, Gibbs, Adcock, Heppell, Puopolo..( Lower, Stanley, Batchelor)

Mids: Pendles, Swan, Judd, Dal Santo, Goodes, Ablett..(Isles, Bewick, Mzungu)

Rucks: Cox, Smith..(Sandilands, J. Tippett)

Forwards: Pavlich, Franklin, S. Johnson, B. Harvey, N. Reiwoldt, Higgins, Darling..(T. Lynch, Richardson, I. Smith)

10 trades left - $215 600 remaining salary cap. Overall ranking 335

My thoughts were to trade out Lower for Deledio this week. The following week sees Shaw have the bye and the 2 Saints the following week which is my reasoning.
I will keep Goodes in the midfield to cover the loss of Swan this week and the Collingwood bye the next.
Next week i was thinking of trading Darling for Howe and then Isles for Boyd to cover the 2 Pies missing. I would like Murphy but the round 23 bye bothers me and i already have Judd.
After the Collingwood bye would see me bring Goodes forward and hopefully have that all settled after the saints bye the following week.
that will leave me 7 trades for the back half of the year and hopefully not needing too many of those except for some late fine tuning.

Thoughts please?

Nice squad.  At 335 you should be the one giving the advice  :)

TigersLair

Just need to make sure I'm on the right track. Any good advice is valuable no matter how you think things are going.

Hippo

Yep i would trade Stanley too rookie and Lower too Deledio...

slight problem after this is you are running out of money on the bench for the time being till your other cows fatten & having NO MPP with the backs and mids

NEXt week i would trade Darling too Sylvia when he drops more!

then you have only one rookie starting in Heppel!!!

then swap Goodes and Higgins with each other and use money from Isles to turn Higgins into Boyd

Backs: Fisher, Shaw, Goddard, Gibbs, Adcock, Heppell, Deledio..( Pups, Rookie, Batchelor)

Mids: Pendles, Swan, Judd, Dal Santo, Boyd, Ablett..(Rookie, Bewick, Mzungu)

Rucks: Cox, Smith..(Sandilands, J. Tippett)

Forwards: Pavlich, Franklin, S. Johnson, B. Harvey, N. Reiwoldt, Goodes, Sylvia..(T. Lynch, Richardson, I. Smith)

Take it as you will but thats just what i would do if my team was this

Good luck

Ringo

I would be looking at downgrading Smith after Round 17 (Eagles and freo byes out of the way) to best priced rookie who is possibly playing. I suspect Smith may be given a rest soon given GC rotational policy for young bodies. Otrherwise nice team and well set up. I agree with Hippo on the Higgins policy unless he does something out of the ordinary in the next few weeks.

Thanks Hippo. I see where you're coming from and agree but my trades remaining concern me a little. Lower for Deledio is a straight swap as i have enough in the bank to cover that move. I am happy to keep Higgins as a starting forward (for now) so therefore the Darling for Howe move will allow me to do the Isles for Boyd move. I don't have enough trades in the bank to go hard as i will need some with half a season still to go. That will give me 7 trades left. I can still look at the Hggins for Sylvia swap later as i will still have Some cash with Stanley and Smith on the bench.

Squad projection in 2 weeks with 7 trades left.

Well this week has just about killed me. I traded Smith for Bailey to avoid the donut and upgraded Isles for Boyd. Adcock injury needs to be addressed if he's out for a long time. Mids and forwards i think are now settled. only have 7 trades left to fix the backline.

Backs: Fisher, Shaw, Goddard, Gibbs, Adcock, Heppell, Deledio..( Pups, Stanley, Batchelor)

$75,300 left in the bank to use for Adcock

Voss has said Adcock Injury not as bad as first thought

http://www.lions.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/5085/newsid/116488/default.aspx

Extracting last paragraph from article

"Voss said there was good news following surgery on Jed Adcock's finger this week, with the defender expected to miss just three weeks instead of the initial six they had feared."

You will have trouble next week though with God Fisher at Adcock but if well placed in league would not worry at this stage as 7 trades going forward will be gold. Good team which should be top 8 and then 7 trades for finals gold.

TigersLair

I'm now ranked 126 overall so i can't afford the donut with Adcock missing. Having the 2 Saints out i knew would haunt me. The best option i think is to trade Adcock for Suckling or hope Batchelor plays and scores well which is doubtful on both counts. I like my Dream Team better. Pity it's not ranked as well, but is getting there.

Ringo

Seeing you are well placed in League I do not think you have any other option but to trade to keep in race. Also consider Newman and keep an eye on Mid Def Rookie to give you the Mid Def link which will be handy. Being a Lions supporter (hard this year) X Clarke may be an option as he will be probably playing in the next 1/2 weeks.
