Geelong have been a bit hot and cold the last few weeks. They couldn't afford to drop off for a couple of quarters.

Geelong deserve to be favorites, they have put together an amazing track record over the last few years.
I think if they have a weakness, its their forward line. Mooney is their go to man and while he may not kick many goals, he is a key focus and many of the other forwards play to his strength whether its crumbing from his attacking leads or handball recieves he marks etc. Take Mooney out of the game and Geelong do not go into their forward line as efficently. Thats my opinion anyway.

There is plenty of class in both midfields, both have good stoppers, but the defence of StKilda is where they can win the match.

Great analysis Hawks. Carna Cats! (But on the day, I'll probably barrack for the "undersaints".)

Very good point Hawks_1976. I didn't get too much faith in the Geelong forwards after watching Tom Hawkins kicking for goal on the weekend either.

Yer I reckon  the cats by 46 points!!

Saints paying $2.47, Cats $1.55...Big odds for the saints!!!

Geelong over 40 points paying $4.50

I'm also interested to see how the Geelong defenders match up with the Saints tall timber. What the Cats tend to do is give Harry Taylor the job on one of the big forwards so that Scarlett can play free or double team. Then everyone goes on about what a great defender Scarlett is. It's bullshower. So at a guess Taylor will match up on Roo; Harley on Kosi. I hope Scarlett's "opponent" makes him accountable.

For me, this is a battle of whose 2nd tier players can have an impact. Guys like Rooke, Enright, Varcoe, Gram, Schneider, Ray.
