Sorry for long post but what are your thoughts on my future strategy or are there improvements I am missing
since hearing bout selwood thinking of maybe getting priddis in 1 trade or risk 2 trades and cashing mckernan or prestia to get in pendlebury next week

How are you going in Leagues.
I did this a couple of weeks ago and have posted in a few threads. Sandi to Tippett opens up Tippett/Petrie link for Cox bye. Frees up $420k cash.  Smith is currently scoring at a prem level and will continue to rise in price and Sandi will fall when he comes back with a b/e. of 167 so am hoping to Trade Smith to Sandi +up to 100k of the 420 above. So Basically you would be using $320k of your current bench to improve team.
Selwood will miss 5 of the next 11 games so I would immediately trade him this week for Ablett cost $50k or Priddis make $25k
Next week switch Pavlich and Prestia and upgrade Prestia to Pendleberry This would give you a finished Mid of Ablett/Priddis, Pendles, Swan, Judd, Murphy, Boyd, Chapman MPP, Hibberd MPP, Wallis I would then swich Chappy and Mzungu
leaving your forwards as O'Keeffe MPP, N Roo, Chappy MPP, Pav MPP, J Roo, Rioli, PetrieMPP, Hurley, Pitt, Smith
Also look at upgrading Heppell to Shaw next week or Fisher in 2 weeks after Saints bye to strengthen backs
This will leave you 6 trades to go into finals with the only real worry Prelim with 3 Carlton to cover but should be OK if you plan for it.
May have to scrap this plan as it has just been released Zac Smith is out of Coast team for Hawthorn clash.

does anyone know how long smith is out for?

because that could still work if i trade in tippet and swap petrie into rucks to partner cox and hopefully when coz has the bye smith should be back.

the only thing is should I be focusing on upgrading my backline to make sure pup and otten don't need to be fielded?

i do like the idea of getting in pendlebury and yeah think its wise to trade out selwood as well

Smith is listed as general soreness so may not be long.  Gives 100% each week and being only 20 probably would only be a week maybe 2.
An alternative till Sandi comes back maybe Smith to Bailey as with injuries to Renouf and Roughie will get games.
