what's happening with shannon byrnes?

i thought he was injured til r8 or something? is he playing in the 2s atm or still injured? is there a spot in the 22 for him (i'd say varcoe would be nervous with his lack of form atm)?

has played the last 2 VFL games. Had no pre-season due to injury so he'll be staying there for at least another 3 or 4 weeks. They are in no hurry to promote him atm.

This report from 'footytragics' of his VFL game last week  .. "Shannon Byrnes is waiting in the wings and was playing forward of the ball, often cheating those 50/50’s to get out into space."

Personally, I'm not a big fan of Shannon Byrnes .. although he's played some good games IMHO he can look like a 'deer in the head lights' at times
