Is having too many players from teams who have byes in the finals going to hurt your chances for league win eg Murphy, Judd, Scotland. Selwood, Johnson, enright, Chapman

I would say if your team is going to make the finals then yes you will not won't more then 2 players from each team in the finals. Having 4 cats in a final will just kill your score.

Maybe plan to trade them closer to the finals....

If your good enough to make top 4 and win in week 1 of the finals, then the Cats shouldn't be an issue. I've traded Curnow and Heppell out even though they were doing well solely coz of the final byes. Good cash cows only.

Yeah. I don't have that problem. I should make top4 but only have Petrie , Gibbs , Hibberd , Heppell , and soon Murphy. armchair, your position wouldn't look good if you had to play in Rd 22.
