Mids is complete, Pendels, Mundy, Boyd, Selwood, Bartel, Joey, with Mzungu on the bench for MPP.

Rucks is complete Cox, Sandi, Smith, McCauley.  No MPP

Fwds is Buddy, Pav, NRoo, Goodes, Sylvia, Petrie, Darling.

Cant rely on Darling as fwd 7, so need one more premium fwd to complete fwd line.

Chappy or Cyril.  Thoughts.

Nice team! What's your backline looking like?? Cause you may want to upgrade that first? This week darling in playing gold coast and chappy may not make his break even, so waiting a week isn't off the cards.

ClarksonsArmy

I would be getting another premium who has MPP, your team has 2 Cats which hurst 2nd weeks finals (Getting Chappy adds to these woes)

What about J.Brown as a unique, a good 7th in the mids could be Didak at 285k....

ROK could be an option, along with Fyfe as they both have MPP

roo boys!

I've got Chappy and Cyril :)

Not sure that you want to many Cats with their bye in SC finals, so I would take Cyril just for this reason.

Thanks masterjudd.  Yeah good point re darling and chappy.  I got lynch for tappy last week, so I've got $200k in the bank, so I'm trading out matera for the premium fwd, and the plan would be to have darling and lynch as bench cover, and eventually trade one of them out for cash.

My backs is my weekest link.

Goddard, delids, adcock, enright, lower, puopolo, luke thompson, brodie smith, jacobs, pederson

I need to upgrade backs at some stage, but I just cant decide who to bring in.  perhaps gibbs, but I'm worried about the tagging roles he is playing ATM, so I'm holding off for the time being, but you're right, it needs another premium defender.

I was looking at the final fwd, and then taking care of the backline next.

yeah very good point Clarksons Army and Rooboys about having too many cats.

I was banking on finishing league top 4, which looks pretty likely, and then win that first final, but i do run the risk of having Enright, Selwood, Bartel, and also Chappy on the pine if I lose that first final, or if I didn't make top 4.  that would make it tough to win that second final, therefore Cyril, Browny, ROK and Fyfe are all options.  Didak is becoming tempting isn't he, but I guess it's one of those high risk, high reward trades that could make or break.

Don't load up on cats as that bye will hurt you. Cyril is a good option but I'm a FYFE fan. He has come on strong this year like Barlow did . FYFE may have an injury concern this week so wait until selection but if he's in, latch on.

i'd wait a few weeks to see how the Dawg is travelling

For your forward-line, I would go with Cyril, as you don't want too many Cats (I have 1 fwd - Chappy - & 1 mid - Selwood), but I like some of the suggestions from others, like J.Brown & ROK - watch them as they're flying compared to Chappy (having a bit of a down year) & Cyril (concerned about his injuries to be honest). Really like Fyfe, but he'd probably make you too Freo-heavy.

As for your back-line, I would look very closely at Sam Fisher (even though you have Goddard, Joey & NRoo), as he's absolutely flying this year. Also, Heath Shaw is having a great year in a team that will win pretty much every week (therefore dominate the points), & with the Pies' fwd-press locking the ball in their fwd line, he's getting lots of easy ball off a half-back flank/wing. My other def options would be Newman (Tigers up & about - minus last week) & Heath Scotland (who's taken over Gibbs' role - & scoring ability - from last year).

Good luck mate!

Thanks Talisman.  Some really good advice there.  Cyril looks to be the preffered option over chappy.  I don't mind the idea of Browny or Fyfe, and I don't mind being too Freo heavy in this team, cos of the bye being in non league round.  i think I will rule out Chappy as that is too Cats heavy.

Some good backs you have thrown up.  I'm a bit light on there cos when I traded out grimes I downgraded him to jacobs.  I like heath shaw, newman, and fisher, but all have byes in next few weeks, so i'm leaning towards Newman after this rounds bye, and then shaw R14, and fisher R15 look like good choices cos i will need anotehr premium back to complete that line.  the only thing that worries me about heath scotland is the R23 bye in the prelim, but you're right, he is having a great season.

cheers mate, and also thanks very much to everybody for their advice.  some good names there to consider.
