Sandi with no cover... Bring Petrie in via the forwards or Sandi to? URGENT!

So my ruck is Cox, Sandi, Keefe, Tippett, with no Petrie in the forward line (yes I'm rooted...). League only, with only 13 trades left... (ouch).

So my options are:

1. Sandi to Smith (bank some handy $ for next week, have the same player as most of my opponents over the next 4-5 weeks. Seems a fairly good option for his price. Perhaps a worry that his scoring will go down after Fraser comes back...)

2. Sandi to Sam Jacobs (seems to be scoring well, bye during the multi-bye round, so no concern for me. Seems to be cheap for his recent scoring)

3. Sandi to Nic Nat (has begun sharing more of the ruck with Cox. Still quite cheap, and the rd. 15 bye is vs a poor team so isn't a problem)

4. Hold Sandi, and trade Matera to Petrie (can't afford Tapscott to Petrie... swap with Tippett and use as cover until Sandi gets back. Keep as forward/ruck cover for the rest of the season, possibly even as a 7th forward later on. Leaves me with no cover this week in my forward line and no cash).

5. Don't trade, rely on Keefe/Tippett....

6. Sandi to someone else (less keen on Goldstein, due to his finals bye, and his scoring could go down when HMac gets back).

So there it is... I'm damned if I do, and I'm damned if I don't. Hopefully the idea would be to keep the player I trade for Sandi, or Petrie if I bring him in, and only trade Sandi back in if he starts completely smashing it.

I like number 4, Petrie has the potential to bring in some big scores.

Also Keefe isnt playing this week, and dont see him getting very many games this year, unless there are some big injuries.

Yeah, I just had a faint glimmer of hope he could be my knight in shining armour after he got named this week just at the right time... of course he got named last week and didn't play, but you know what I mean :P

Petrie is looking good... I'm just a bit annoyed I am 2-3k short on going Taspcott to Petrie... :( Ah well, it is kind of an upgrade for the forward line later anyway... and Matera was probably going to have to go at some stage.

I know I know... but I'm just thinking that getting Petrie and keeping Sandi is going to cost me trades anyway, because if I keep Sandi I will have to make more downgrades to afford the premiums I want...

I think I'm going to go for Nic Nat or Jacobs. If Sandi goes well, I can trade him back in, and probably make money in the process...

Ah shiver me timbers... (actually quite a good replacement for my usual swear word :P), I ended up trading Sandi to S. Jacobs, as he is a no. 1 ruck, and Nic Nat was for some reason coming up as an emergency... I reckon he should outscore Nic Nat/Smith and hopefully be close to Sandi for the rest of the season, and if not I can always trade him in. Now I have the cash to go Tapscott > Chappy next week, and plus make another downgrade so I can go straight to another premium the week after...

I will probably live to regret it, but I also feel that Jacobs will be more consistent than Petrie, and should help win me some of the close matches I'm playing over the next 4 weeks...
