If Cruiseon and Cicjose got marred they should be banned from procreating.

Cruiseon: I counter your counterfactual with this what if: The Dockers had beaten Geelong (which by rights they should have) and were injury free. They could be undefeated right now. Dont try to diminish the improvement of the dockers, they are definite top 8 and top 4 with a fit side. Expect them to come back with avengance in the second half of season.

Cicjose: You are the WORST supporter ever, the point of being a supporter is SUPPORTING. So support your bloody team for flowers sakes. They look good, they are just down on personnel and confidence as a result.

I have lost count the number of times I tell Cicjose to stop being negative towards the club

Cicjose

until something positive comes out of the club i will be all too happy to talk about it   ::)

This thread topic is called 'Pessimistic about Freo?' is it not  ;)
The thread title itself opens the floor to pessimism NOT optimism and CJ is entitled to take the lead in that regard.

I saw Freo first hand pre season v Crows at Thebarton Oval and it was a pasting. Sure, Freo were playing with experiment in mind but the team unison did not seem to be there, there was no talk as they walked off between quarters and they seemed disbanded when they left the ground at full time. If they adopt that attitude ahead of this weeks match, then regardless of personnel, they will lose.

Surely they won't....will they?

The Silent Partner

Hey Guys
I like most of you am a freo supporter and have been since they were incepted in the AFL . It has been a long and extremely frustrating time and our consistency is the main issue .We have shown so much promise without delivering (consistency). By delivering I didn't expect a premiership but to give ourselves every opportunity of winning one we need to make the top four But I think its the inconsistency which gets me the most we continually seem to have trouble winning games we should win. Our upper echelon of consistent players you can count on one hand some of which we can give say 3 years. we have some of the best exciting young talent in the league( young= inconsistent) but there are guys to fill those spots in the coming years when they move on retire etc. I mean missing the likes of Mickey B, MoraBeats, Hayden has not helped and the return of Palmer has been lets say not as we hoped. I mean our injury list apart from the mentioned ok Silvagni,Suban aswell  are all junior burgers I mean we have to be able to cover these guys and blood some of these other chestnuts. I have not given up on this year I believe we will scrape into the 8 and hopefully head into that elimination final full of steam. We have to make sure we beat St.Kilda and essendon at home in the coming weeks which will galvanise or break  us. I have had a few but I think the next 3 years is our time to strike with next year a top four finish a must.( could still happen)
However we head into Saturdays clash against Port at AAMI which we play pretty well bar that massive loss to the crows which we are heading into as favourites and Port as short as they will be I hope we can unite as team and club and put these guys away, we need some aggression remember the call 'Pressure the ball carrier' BT last year.
COME ON FREO! FFS

Pre season means nothing.

Sure Cj is welcome to his opinion, but that doesnt make it correct. Theres a lot to be positive about, the fact they're in the 8 despite their run of injuries is a MASSIVE positive. I dont know how Cj can complain about this team when its the first real team freo have EVER had in its ENTIRE history, lets face it, the Chris Connolly team was never going to challange for a premiership - IMO this team will next year. I've followed freo (not from a supporters perspective) for a few years now and they look bloody good. A lot better then the other developing teams who at full strength are further down the ladder.

Cicjose

it doesnt make it wrong either  ::)

Opinions are like arseholes...

But some arseholse are just plain wrong.

Cicjose

Until Fremantle beat teams that are worse than they are

and can upset the big boys im going to be proven correct.....

Bluke

Dogs are big boys
North are worse
Adelaide are worse
Brisbane are worse

stop whinging.

Start a thread called 'Optimistic about Freo!' and post all your good thoughts and hopes in there  ;)

Cruiseon

...... something along the lines of 'I remain optimistic about Sandilands ability to remain very tall".  I reckon even Cicjose would agree with that one.

I might just point out as the thread starter pre-season, that the context was all about Freo being a genuine top 4 side which was something I did not think would happen. A heavy injury toll hasn't enabled this to be fairly tested so the pessemistic about Freo commentary is now heading in a different direction.
