Facing 2 donuts this week in the backline with Grimes injured and Toy not playing aswell.
My team, $46,000 salary cap

Backs: Goddard, Deledio, Heppel, Adock, L.Thompson ------ Gibbs and Duigan with the bye, Toy not playing, Grimes and Otten both injured leaving me with 2 donuts.

Mids: Selwood, Swan, Goodes, D.Swallow, Libba, Atley    bench, Judd, Polec, Wallis

Rucks: Sandi, Ryder  bench: Z.Smith, Bailey

Forwards: Pavlich, Franklin, N.Riewoldt, Krakour, Tapscott, Hurley, Knights   bench: Prestia, Richardson, Higgins

I'm wanting to trade Grimes out, I can probably manager with 1 donut in the back. But with there not being much on offer for the backline I'm not sure who. Thinking Alex Johnson at 115k. Thoughts?

grab ben jacobs from port. good job security

BGK

yeah Otten to Jacobs and Grimes to whoever. I really dont like the taste of donuts.

Chelskiman

Yeah, I went Otte > Jacobs and then Grimes > Adcock.  My defence looks dodgy as well.  I hope Puopolo or Hibberd play otherwise I'll get a donut.  I also still have Broughton, stupidly, so he could possibly called a donut anyway. ::)

Will Jacobs get games though?
Atleast 1 it seems. I was just reading up on glandular and they reckon 3-4 weeks initially to get over it but it seems to affect alot of people for years and in some cases up to 10 years could be dodgy but who knows

mattyondrums

Lol 10 years? I dont think so. I had it when I was young, lasted like 2 weeks

jacobs already has had like 3 weeks in the sanfl. hes still building up his fitness but he'll get there. definately in the best port side as they are deplorable, even if hes at 80% fitness hes still better than half of their team.

Cicjose

we know he can kick unlike half his team mates

Ziplock

He plays for port... he's fine...

lol, need I say more? His JS is going alright, he was a little rusty on his first SANFL game back, but by all reports his fine now, hence AFL selection, port is in the need of chronic rebuilding, so they're going to want to pump this guy with as much experience as possible for the future.

God your a donkey read up on it.As i said it can have affects on people for years some people in extreme cases up to 10 years.I have also had it and it took me about a month to get over it but i still didnt feel like myself for atleast 6 months. Not saying he will sooky boy but there could be a possibilty that he will miss games becuase of feeling lethargic and will probably be rested often. But i aint no doctor.Stop being sooky you obviously put him in your team.  :'(

actually, it's not the illness that lasts for 10 years, it's that it's liable to reoccur for like 10 years :)

About 4 months before the season started, this guy was my first rookie picked absolute ball magnet racks up the possies. And then he got fvkin glandular p.i.s.s.ed me orf. If he rack's em up first 2 games might be tempting but theres only so many rooks i need. Still Callinan and Mzungu to come. Plus i just put Isaac in
