Who are you trading this week and why?

I'm considering going Duigan -> Rookie
Curnow -> Dal Santo

Although if no suitable rookie is named - which is more than likely. Then I may hold off this week, having both curnow and grimes sitting on the bench this week doing nothing is expensive but there really arnt any great down grade options (I only go for bubble boys or guys that I know will play a good amount of games, that excludes hibberd).

Other potential trade if I dont pull the above one is.

Matera -> Patrick

Matera has almost topped out and Patrick looks like he can score the odd 80 - 100 game. Should be a good earner and if he can keep his form up then I suspect he should play a few games. From good stock as well (Jurrah's cousin).

im considering duigan to rookie. yarran to sylvia. dont have curnow but have grimes. will sit on grimes until next week when hopefully more suitable defender options arise in my price bracket.

Good post Bluke, I'll consider Patrick myself an interesting option. You might be interested in my situation because I'm considering Dal Santo also. I'm torn on my double trade and obviously waiting eagerly for teams later today, but at the moment (with 196k in the bank) I'm favouring:

Grimes -> Rawlings
Curnow -> Mundy

I'm getting Rawlings because I just don't want to hop on Heath Shaw. I feel I can cover Rawlings if I hang onto Heppell strategically all season (cover for byes once I've fully upgraded). Mundy I thought would be a good pick pre-season and now looks premium status. I'm bringing him in as my eventualy 6th midfielder as he's got a good run of fixtures coming up before 1 bye in a DT league bye week. Of course he's only coming in because I need to ditch Curnow but I do feel like Mundy willl be top 10 midfielder and I think he's unique while not copping a DT finals bye.

The other trade I'm considering is:

Grimes -> Heath Shaw
Curnow -> Dal Santo OR Rischitelli

I feel that trade is more problematique than the previous one as I'm not that sold on Dal Santo & Rischitelli causes me bye problems next week, but I'm still open to being swayed by Heath Shaw and fitting him in. My smokey trade is:

Grimes -> Suckling
Curnow -> Pendlebury

Again, waiting for selection night on that one... While I don't feel it's the best week to get Pendlebury (could still go down $20-30k taking a close look at b/e's), you wouldn't regret ever bringing him into your team this season. Unlike Mundy he's certain top 6 midfielder with a great run of fixtures after Geelong. All these options burn all but $10k of my bank... to keep around $200k should I do:

Grimes -> Jacobs (who's DEF/MID I need in defence at some point - why not now?)
Curnow -> Pendlebury (most solid choice out of the premium mids I don't have)

What do you think I should do? See my full team here: http://www.fanfooty.com.au/forum/index.php/topic,30511.msg419266.html#msg419266

Im sitting on grimes too, will wait another week for enright or someone to find form.

Will go matera (be = ave) --> patrick (Showed some skills against brisbane after a sub affected score)
and then Curnow to Watson or Mundy (unique)

Mundy is good and reliable but barlow will return in 4-5 weeks and freo have had a pretty easy draw so far.
Watson is popular but having already lost to sides with him in this year I would like to negate his influence, he will be top 10 this year with his hird-influenced kick:handball ratio improvement. Downside is needing a trade in round 22. Usually round 22 is ravaged by injury and people being rested and there is no guarantee I will have the means to trade him out for the grand final (You have to assume you'll be there, otherwise you might as well go home now).

Thoughts?

Bluke

I would be going Mundy this week but I haven't got the cash. About 4 grand short from the Duigan -> Rookie trade which sucks.

I think Watson and Mundy will both be top 8 mids, with Watson maybe even going top 5. They both look great this season and one or both will find their way into my team. (Probably Mundy because the amount of LTIs so far this season means I want to have a solid midfield for finals). I'm considering Dal Santo because he has bottomed out, he would fil the 6th mid role leaving me with two places for Pendles (lock) and Mitchell/Watson/Mundy

I started dal santo and now is a lock for my 6th midfielder......
My current midfield is Swan, Boyd, Selwood, Dal Santo and Pendas will be in round 11! but next week i am buying either Mundy, Watson or Thompson, Montags or Bartell?Which is my best option as my 5th midfielder?

Im thinking of either of these trades this week:

Grimes - Shaw and Duigan - Jacobs (or another rookie)

Or

Grimes - Jacobs and Curnow - Boyd

What do you think? This all depends on teams and hoping i have some injured players returning this week

mikeg12

I was going to go graimes - gibbs  and curnow to Rischitelli but im $500 short.  FAK

bundyboy

grimes > shaw this week - locks away my key defenders, and subject to injury won't need to stuff around down back any more..

waiting another week for curnow - as I really want swann, and since I have ok cover, I'll wait for swanny's price drop one more week before locking him in.

then - time to just work on fowards - with chappy on the hit list  ;D
