ok so grimes out has stuffed my plans up completely.

Gibbs, Lids, Heppel, Adcock, Goddard, Stanley, Lower  (Grimes, Toy, Pupolou)
Swan, Boyd, Bartel, Montagna, Didak, Harris (Curnow, Beiwck, Hibberd)
Cox, Sandi (Smith, Tippet)
Franklin, Voldt, Stevie J, Darling, Knights, Petrie, Higgins (Tapscott, Matera, Richardson)

now i need to get rid of grimes and what i do drastically affects my team.

Grimes to Jacobs and Curnow to Selwood (100k in bank)
Matera to Smith and Harris to Chapman (50k in bank)
Knights to Mzungu and Stanley to enright ( 110k in bank)
Tapscott to rookie and Lower to scotland ( 100k in bank)
Darling to rookie and Bewick to Pendles (20k in bank)

Gibbs, Lids, Heppel, Adcock, Goddard, Enright, Scotland  (Jacobs , Toy, Pupolou)
Swan, Boyd, Bartel, Montagna, Selwood , Pendles (Mzungu, Rookie, Hibberd)
Cox, Sandi (Smith, Tippet)
Franklin, Voldt, Stevie J, Chapman, Didak , Petrie, Higgins (rookie, smith , Richardson)

leaves me with 6 trades for injuries.

i would plan on trading stevie j to sylvia to avoid the round 21 bye and to take advantage of melbournes easy run home of
west coast, richmond, GC, port. So having a mxed out gellong team shouldnt be a problem.

lol dont you mean ultimate plan 11.3

I rekon you need to do less planning Holzman, because so many of the most well conceived plans stuff up due to this reason or that reason. Just take it one week at a time (just like a real AFL team) and I guarrentee you will have a much more enjoyable (and probably more successful) time!

yeah probably, i guess the reason i plan alot was thats what i did last year and it always seemed to work out than still im not sure if the grimes to jacobs and curnow to selwood trades are the best moves for this week.

The alternate would be grimes to enright and than pssoibly curnow to smith and than start upgrading like crazy.

I will always be a person who makes plans, i have about 2 other scenarios im working on aswell to try and get the best result. Plus its fun to see how good my team could be, instead of the one that is stinking it up at the moment.

From your choices I like the first one. Personally going sideways Grimes (to Shaw) and Curnow>Smith then upgrade like crazy, better long term imo + already get Selwood who is an uber gun...go first choice for sure!

Chopps

a good plan is the key, adjusting the plan week to week is essential though

thinking exactly the same with

Grimes OUT Jacobs IN
Curnow OUT Selwood IN

and next week get smith and chappster (lolz like u...great minds think alike!!!)

joshas182

just remember the reason ur making these changes is cos grimes + curnow are injured....whats to say with all this planning one of those guys gets injured too?? Just go week to week and make sure to have more than 6 trades coming into the finals!!!

Ziplock

yep, I have a general overall strategy, then I just wing it from there. For instance, I'm looking at grimes--> enright this week, + a downgrade, or if higgins isn't named, grimes --> enright, higgins to chapman

(id prefer not to do the second option)

if the first option comes through for me, next week I'd be going curnow--> montagna (presuming curnow is still out) + a downgrade

then the week after, hopefully I'll still have the dough to go ward--> pendles, or (if pendles has a close to sub 100 score), I'll hold off until after his bye.

now, all my flowering players can stop getting injured. Yes Higgins, Grimes, Rioli, I'm looking at you, SOAB's.
