hey first post!

i have 20 trades and 162 000 in cash. im deciding whether to sort out my backline, in one go, or make some cash for later upgrades, or jump on the petrie train before it is too late. im going for league win.

backline:
gibbs, deledio, goddard, grimes, broughton, heppell, lower (duigan toy otten)
rucks:
sandilands smith dericx and campbell

im thinking
1 trade: duigan to adcock, enright or cheaper: r murphy or suckling

2 trades: duigan to any of the above, broughton to another with left over cash

or: smith --> petrie to sort out the upcoming bye for smith
and duigan  to suckling or downgrade

happy to wait it out with lower as cover for otten to return and make a bit more cash.

let me know what you think

cheers

Your backline is no worse than anyone else's at the moment, so I'd leave that for awhile.  I think your most pressing problem is second ruck. I would address that first.

Ziplock

heppell is scoring well enough for a keeper, and lower is capable of a 70 avg. Getting cox in should be your first priority atm (without having seen your fwd/mid line)

shorty

for reference my mids and forwards are

swan boyd j selwood j watson curnow swallow (harris liberatore krakouer)

pavlich franklin n riewoldt goodes darling yarran matera (prestia richardson mckernan)

Ziplock

see, I look at that and see your biggest concern being your fwd line. Having to field one of matera, prestia, richardson or mckernan is not cool. And yarran isn't exactly setting the world on fire + he's injured.

Fwds before backs my friend.

i can go duigan --> hibberd/puopolo then any of the rookies to sylvia

then come the round 9 bye bring in a premium for smith in the ruck

Ziplock

do the hibberd trade. Sounds good.
