Which one?

Petrie
J Roo

BGK

I'm going to be bringing in one if these guys for either Richardson or Krakouer. Hopefully one of them is named and the other isn't so my decision on which one is easier.

I think both Petrie and Jack looked good on the weekend. Both will have ups and downs but both should score well most weeks.

So who do you guys think?

Wait for after the bye, generate $$ and go krak->dids

Problem is I'm ranked 200. I have both on the field at present. My forward line is very weak with buddy, Stevie J and fyfe out this week. I can cop one donut if necessary but 2 would destroy my chances.

Jack will be good against poor teams and awful against good teams. Almost always the case. If you go for him, enjoy the roller coaster!

Agreed, but at his price, I think he's still worth it. Especially because the Tigers are playing bursts of good footy, and their offensive strat is "kick it long to Jack"

The offensive strategy is currently in a transformation stage. Hardwick said he wanted a more even spread of goals and you can see the trend already beginning. The midfielders are kicking a few when they go up forward and I think that Hardwick will try and find a good second forward target ASAP. I can see his output decreasing sooner rather than later.
That being said, he'll get 100 against the Lions this week.

I see the dilemma in wanting to keep rank. i'm 60th overall and while i want to hold on, this week with pav & buddy out i'm not sure i want my fwds to be held together by knights, yarran, matera etc!

you may have missed the boat now with petrie, nothing wrong with Jack as your 6th fwd all year, should avg 80-85 from here on in!

BGK

I always fail to understand why people think that just beacuse somebody has had 1 price rise the ship has sailed. Are we to believe that Petrie isnt going to rise any further in price?

Does everybody believe that Jack will average a signifficant amount more than Petrie over the course of the year?

If this is the case I understand that I should go for Jack, but i honestly see them as very similar players, with the potential to average the same. Both will have very good weeks against weaker oposition and both will struggle against good defenders.

Having said this I off the top of my head I think the Richmond draw and team is looking alot better.

I'm having a similar debate, Krak for either of these two, or Didak. Didak will probably go down in price again, even if he gets close to his BE of 101, so I'm going to wait til next week and cross my fingers he'll be sub $350k. If not, I might go Petrie as with a BE of -18 he's got a few price rises in him yet.

ImSoHood

Would you buy a unit if you knew your neighbour paid $50K less for the exact same thing?.. "the ship has sailed" is based on principle rather than anything else..!!
Petrie has many more price rises, I'd just rather invest my dough in a fallen premium once a mid pricer/rookie has gained.. Similar on fyfe, won't trade him in this year & kudos to those with the balls (& luck) to pick him straight up!

Ziplock

fyfe is a bit of a different situation as he's like the highest avging forward atm, and is a dpp...

ImSoHood

I agree fyfe can avg 100 for the year, but if you trade him in now & his form drops, you've burnt a trade trying to catch up on points other coaches have in the bank! Same as trying to cash in on petries 140 odd.. Dpp isn't that uncommon in fwds
