How juicy is this guy gonna be soon... is he a forgotten hero, or are you smart dt sc coaches keeping a close eye on this machine (when fit of course) ;;;))))

Bluke

Holz

had 1 good year, if he is super cheap i would bring him in but i would rathe go for guys like lids, scotland, gram in my team instead.

Bluke

Might have had 1 good year but I think the forward press helps tall marking defenders like Lake and Scarlett that can fill the space and mark some of the long bombs into the forward line. I'll wait untill he has bottomed out and starts scoring okay before I look at bringing him in though.

I'm not so sure the press has helped defenders possession stats as evidenced by the general drop in scoring output in defenders this year. Lake thrives on getting lots of loose kicks across half back to pump up his score in addition to reading the play and marking from opponents kicks. You don't really see Lake involved in score assists and breaking lines in the fashion Scarlett does so I'd avoid the comparison.
Not saying he can't do it but I'm with Holzman in that from a DT perspective I'd just like a little more convincing

Bluke

The forward press hasnt been good for running defenders no. But Lake plays a bit differently, no he doesnt break the lines exactly like scarlett but Lake has a mandate to take pack marks and if you've noticed the amount of times teams bomb it long into the forward line now you have to realise that has to be good for someone like Lake who has a good set of hands and reads the ball well, as opposed to Broughton who is more likely to punch because of lack of height etc.

yorgis

agree with you bluke, i will be watching him very closely. he has the license to mark the ball and he reads the play very well. he'll still be the go to man
