To the people of Australia, as a Turkish migrant, i thank you. I thank you for opening your arms and allowing my family to live in this magnificent country. I am proud of my heritage but i am also proud to be an Aussie. All those at Gallipoli who lost thier lives both Turks, and ANZACS, they are now resting in peace as brothers in a peaceful country.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

KORZA

This is why.

Good on you Korza, and so many like you. I've met plenty, both here and in Turkey.

Similar thoughts are written on huge monuments in Turkey - a memorial to heros on both sides.

BTW, there's an "Australian Turkish Carpet Shop", in Efes. If anyone is ever there, drop in for some "apple tea". The family that runs it come from Coburg in Melbourne (after migrating to Oz, and then going back many years later). They are extraordinarily hospitable to Aussies. Say G'day from me!
