I'm burning Foley and Palmer this week and want to bring in a premium.

Only caution around Pendles is having both him and Swan out for their bye oh and Krak, however having murphy will save me 30k and I'll be able to handle Murphy out as carlton have the first bye on their own.

I wasted my time with mid priced players and no more...

So who to go?

Pendles or
Murphy

Every man and his dog has Swan and Krak (the ones with decent teams that is :P)

Pendles = owned by 20-21% of teams and therefore a LOT of teams have all 3, so not a massive risk imo...

+ If you're at all interested in winning your leagues, isn't Murph's 2nd bye in DT finals?

Pendles IMO.

Palmer is starting on the ground this week. I wouldnt burn him because he will burn you...

Sure he'll start the ground this week, but what about next week.

I figure if he's been used as a sub already, that could be a pattern for the rest of the year.  The sub rule has been effective when a player can come in and have an impact, and he did the other day, so I believe he'll play that role for a lot of the season.

I'd rather bring in a premium and be done with the mid price worries.

Palmer will definitely start this week, Harves confirmed as much today. Quite a few coaches have come out and said that they'll rotate the sub position between the running players in a team, and twice in a row in particular would be very odd.

Plus Freo have quite a few players coming back over the course of the first half of the season that they are very likely to use the sub position to ease returning players back in. This week it could be Ibbotson for example.

I'd be very suprised if Palmer gets the green shirt again any time soon.
