I know its early to be burning trades but hey weve got 24 of them and this is the last change to sneak in some important changes before price changes come into play. i have petrie/foley and my major problem is that i want dawes + young, (two well priced players who i think are capable of averaging 85-90 by years end in my opinion). However i can only trade away either one of foley/petrie this week to either libba/tapscott, and then will only be able to trade one of these players to dawes/young. So who do you guys think is the better buy? Dawes or Young?

Also another option i have is burning gilbert to mckernan and then getting both dawes and young in the coming weeks but costing me 3 trades and less stability in defense (not that gilbert is playing well atm anyway)

ok bit harsh on petrie with his first afl game in a long time and in a side that got pumped by collingwood. Also we know foley will eventually come good, i cant see dawes and young keeping up there scores wheras foley is sure to improve. I wouldnt be suprised if foley ends up averaging more than both these 2. I think the only reason to drop foley is if you were planning on using him for a stepping stone to a fallen premium like i was. In that case if you want to trade him probably beter to go down to a liba or cunrow or personally im going to ward to be that stepping stone.

Agree with Holz. If you weren't going to use Foley as a keeper, drop him for Liba or Curnow. Don't get rid of Petrie this early. His first game back against a dominant team, his scoring will improve. I was pretty disappointed with him too, but I'll hold on to him and hope he improves sooner rather than later. The point is, without serious injury, he's sure to improve. I'm not sure that Foley will even average higher than Young and Dawes by the end of the season. He doesn't look to be one of the key Tiger midfielders at the moment (at least behind Lids, Martin, Jackson and probably Cotchin). So unless you're keeping him, downgrade him for the cash!

Yeh I probably was a bit harsh on Petrie lol but that's only because I want Dawes pretty badly, granted he won't keep up these big scores but he should still be in for a big yr. And my plan was to use foley as a keeper but he looks another fullseason away from being back to his best, so if I get young it'd be to usehim as a keeper as well, and have him as a 6th mid by yrs end. Bylut it's hard not to pocket 140k on libba plus his price rise. Also what do you guys think about Gilbert coz he's at the top of my chopping block atm
