Goodes or O'Keefe?

Neither

Who should I bring into my team?

Goodes:

  • Proven DT scorer
  • Age draws a bit of a red flag (31), but doesn't look like slowing down anytime soon
  • Permanent forward could limit his scoring (i.e. Melbourne Rnd 1), but Longmire may be tempted to play him more in the midfield after the influence he had againt Essendon, especially if he is struggling up forward
  • More expensive than O'Keefe ($37,400)

O'Keefe:

  • Groin injury last year, but doesn't seem to be affecting him at all this year
  • Proven DT scorer
  • Started extremely well (110 average)
  • More susceptible to a tag than Goodes (although still handles it pretty well)
  • Age also a bit of a worry (30)

Unfortunately I missed the Swans/Bombers match, can anyone shed any light on these two and how they played? Both were tagged according to fan footy, but how closely?

I missed the match too, but I would go with ROK. I like him coming back from his injury and I think he's the cheapest he'll be all year. Both he and Goodes may fluctuate a bit, but Goodes has more cash to drop and would probably be easier to pick up later if you wanted him without losing too much value.

That's made it tougher lol cause I'm leaning toward Goodes as I think he's the safer option, just not really sure if he's worth the price difference between the two.

Goodes for sure.  He's consistent and he'll have a good year whether he starts forward or in mid.

I have goodes, wished i got ROK atm - but i know down the track i'll be glad i have goodes (after having rok last year)...

there is a reason why they are more expensive, if you can afford him get him - thats my motto.

Goodes.

i watched the game, ROK racked them up all over the ground.
goodes was up forward and was missing for a while. he went into the middle for the second half and scored massively.
id go goodes to be honest, hes harder too tag, quicker than ROK, taller, better mark, can kick bags or move into the middle. proven, etc etc
