My Non-Unique Team, Help Needed

I just want to start off by saying that my backline has been like this day dot, put alot of thought into it and it seems its the same as everyone elses. But here goes.

Backs: Goddard, Gibbs, Deledio, Broughton, Grimes, Otten, Lower. Emg: Stanley, Toy, Duigan
Mids: Pendlebury, Hayes, Bartel, Higgins, Krakouer, Harris. Emg: D. Swallow, Heppell, Hibberd
Rucks: Sandilands, Cox. Emg: Smith, Campbell
Fwds: N. Riewoldt, Franklin, Pavlich, Goodes, Knights, Petrie, Richardson. Emg: Prestia, Matera, Tapscott.

I've taken into account MPP's this year as we just never know what injuries will throw up or who will be bargain buys and moverability could be crucial this year with buys. So I have two mid/backs and two/fwds in the middle of the park and 3 of each in both back and forward.

I really want Joel Corey in the side but not sure how to get him. Suggestions? Also I find Waite appealing this year. Thoughts?

Very solid team-

As a saints supporter, I don't know how Hayes will perform this year. He may be used sparingly, he is getting old and his style of play will age him even quicker.

I would prefer to see an Anthony or Foley (although both injury prone) in Hayes place, to free up some cash, maybe to upgrade Knights?

Anyway- this team could work as it is.

I think heppell on the ground in the backline instead of Lower.

Thankyou for the input. I have considered the age factor for Hayes/Goodes but they're just such good players that at their price I couldn't resist. Perhaps even Hayes to Joel Corey?

Also, I had Heppell back, but moved him to the middle for added MPP flexibility. Going to go out on a limb with that and leave him there as Lower, Duigan plus the GC boys will all play and vg similar (i hope)

Strong side overall...

Similar sentiments regarding Hayes... no dobut he's a warhorse, but not sure he can get you that 100+ppg week-in, week-out. A Swallow or Boyd perhaps as potential replacements?

Not sure you'd need Corey with Bartel in your side already. Have Bartel selected in my own side also... expecting a big season from him

Haven't considered Waite myself, due to missing SC finals round...but would be a good unique pick

Thanks for the feedback! Is everyone else thinking the same about Hayes? Other issues? I'm starting to get cold feet on D. Swallow and Toy.

So ended up keeping Hayes, couldn't bring myself to trading him. Especially now that one of the duggestions was Foley!

From the team above I traded out Swallow for Atley (cash wanted, shouldnt be much difference), Tapscott for Darling (JS) and Campbell for J. Tippet (MPP).

Looking at those trades so far, in my opinion they were not so good but aren't going to make a huge difference!!! really depends what Swallow can do compared to Atley. Good luck hope those trades don hurt your team to much
