Pretty sure this issue came up months ago. There isn't as big of a following for these minor leagues so m0nty suggested to stick them in the AFL section for any topics regarding them.

On numerous occasions i've wished there was a designated place to discuss individual players in these forums. Was thinking that perhaps you could make an addition to the already existing  -

FanFooty Forum
|-+  General sports discussion
| |-+  AFL
| | |-+  <insert team name here>

To contain a stickied thread at the beginning of the section for each player.

eg Geelong -

(1) Mitchel W. Brown
(2) Billie Smedts
(3) Jimmy Bartel
etc.

The inclusion of this type of forum would benefit in numerous ways.. firstly, would provide a persistent location for player discussion throughout the year while hopefully keeping it separate the flamewars/spam which plague the playerprofile pages at the moment. This centralized location for all things relating to an individual player would also cut down on the 10spam threads you sometimes get when a high profile player is in the news (eg - how many mzungu threads??).

Some threads may remain relatively emtpy..  that may also encourage people to research some of these lesser known list cloggers .. benefiting everyone.

/salute.

this was tried in the P&T thread in both SC and DT but hasnt been working to well

And what i mean is if you havent noticed there is a thread name Player Profiles, in there is a link to many different players :)

Indeed there is. Pre Season it was a great to use for discussion and allowed people to write about players they knew/wanted. One the fantasy season open they were literally tossed out the window by the users coming back and disregarded the information that was so useful just a few weeks earlier!
