just comes down to minimising the number of players from each club and working the system. i think you only need worry about those finals teams... trades are a premium this year even though theres more. planning this preseason meant everything and i havent had one donut on the field all year.

don't think it really such a big deal. if watson helps u get into the granny, it means he has served u well, which means he'd be very pricey, which means u can trade him for anybody who is on a roll granny week

watson the only one worth considering....and yes- if you have him at rd 23, he should be worth plenty to trade out for final round 24....

that said - not for me ;D

Also to note that Round 24, The Hawks play Gold Coast away, maybe they have sewn up top 4 spot, so they dont take Buddy, Hodgey, Suckling, etc to Queensland, and rest them. I think Freo did that late last year when they went to Tassie and dropped 6-7 players, helped them win a finals game.

So IMO you need to keep 2 trades in case of any coaching manoeuvres late in the year for "General Soreness'.

Round 22 Geelong have the bye, Collingwood play Brisbane at home, maybe top 2 spot sewn up, they might not play Swan, Pendles, Shaw, Cloke, Dawes, etc.

they'll deifnitely play swan and pendles... they're not paying them not to play!
and as a professional team that has recently won a premiership (unlike freo) I find it hard to beilieve they'd tank a game.. its just not in their culture! and I'm dees supporter, I know how a losing culture feels :|
