How much money left over?

I was wondering how much money everyone has left over?

I usually have at least 40k in case I need to trade after round 2, but this year I have less than 10k.

What are you think is the ideal amount of cash left over?

MightyLions

Atleast 80k IMO! If there's no players within range of the player your trading you need more cash!

Just to re-vamp an older thread... I usually aim to have all of my money working hard for me on the field, this year im a little bit concerned about the cheaper (103k-110k) bench players getting consistant games early in the year. I currently have 90k in the kitty, just wanted to get other coaches opinions on this matter?

charliesheen

I am considering this myself

I think i am going to leave 50k in the bank

I have specific upgrade targets around 4-6 if, I am short on cash, its going to really screw things up.

vc_bombers

Yeah I re-did my team and now I've got 40k. I reckon I'm taking a few risks with cheaper rookies, atm I've got Bewick and Pittard in.

Maca24

Ive got under 10K. why? because i fitted everyone i wanted in perfectly. no point saving cash for the sake of it if your not happy with your starting team.

vc_bombers

I understand your way of going about it, but aren't you concerned that maybe one of your players might get injured?

nathan11

i have just under 10k, there were enough tough decisions about who to leave out that if anyone gets injured i just pick up someone at the same price i had to leave out, i will get money off my rookies so not too worried about how much i have now

sid3bysid3

i have 20k... happy with that.

i usually aim for 40 but im very satisfied with my team and structure.

if i have injuries i'll replace with an equal player quite happily

It's great to have a starting team that you're happy with, but what about your bench? isn't the bench just as, if not more important, at the start of the year?... this is where you make your money for upgrades. This is my concern, not my starting players.

nathan11

but if your bench is what worries you why do you need more money, surely they are all rookies, you have 3 games to see how they go if need be trade them out before the replacement goes up

Yes, but the difference between say a Smith (103K) or Atley (108K) and a Polec (168K) or Conca (163K) is drastic...
my concern lies in the number of blokes sub 110K getting a regular game early on is slim.

nathan11

mckernan, hibberd, richardson, bewick, lower, all 110 or less and should play, but it just takes a simple look at round 1 teams and injuries to see whio should get a decent crack
