I have $395,800 to spend and the rest of my mids are:

Swan, Montagna, Swallow, __________, Swallow, Harris - Green, Hibberd, I Smith.

Josh Kennedy has absolutely killed it in the NAB Cup so far so has to be in contention. Nathan Foley has been averaging 90 odd the last few seasons but has failed to play more than 20 games in a season. Other possibilities are Brock McLean, Trent Cotchin, Stephen Hill, Liam Anthony, Rhys Palmer or Mark McVeigh off the top of my head. Another option will be to just get a rookie and upgrade other lines. Thoughts appreciated!!

Mark McVeigh will flourish under James Hird, who sees him as a midfielder, not a backman - where he has played a lot of footy recently. I had him in 08 and he was great. I fully expect him to get up to his 07/08 averages again.

i like Kennedy, will be the biggest improver at the swans this year in the mids.

I'd go with Kennedy... Keep watching how he goes in the NAB though.

liam anthony should be a bargain at that price

Kennedys pre-season form is too good to pass up on, get him!
