i dont rate him atm,
maybe see what he does onight,
but i think for the price he is you can get a better rookie and spend that extra 50k elsewhere

There's been a bit of this.
I reckon he'll still be good. His price though will stop many from having him. ? over him and so people rightly or wrongly go for cheaper options. Time will tell.

if he burns it up 2nite then ill probs keep him.
gonna be hard for him to score well though with all the rookies playing for eagles.

i think the main issue is not how good he is or isnt but that the coach has a history of not playing youngsters...

i too am not going gaff. i had him in most of the preseason, but cut him out to save money, and get more standard price rookie mids, only keeping swallow and heppell as rd1 draft picks in the mid. there are plenty of other choices for less money. any one of them is a gamble.

I have picked Polec over Gaff myself. Didn't like what I saw from Gaff TBO

he hasnt set the world on fire as some of us predicted, he may take a while to adjust to the AFL level, i personally prefer to go for mature age players ie mzungu, harris, ect

i've stayed off both polec and gaff.

i've got swallow but other than that there hasnt been much history of the top picks dominating.

i think there are some other good first year options out there... atley is getting alot of hype and chris scott will play the youngsters i believe.

I have neither. Gaff didn't play terrible, didn't play amazing last night, just average. Doubt I'll get him, 70k more than most rookies!
