Not sure about Gaff in the midfield, but i think his job security is pretty good. What do you think?

Is having Gamble, Riewoldt and Giansiracusa too many considering they have a bye the same week? If so who should i replace one of them with?

Magin - What do people think? Will he play?

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Why i have picked certain players.

Palmer  - I am hoping returns to 2009 form, and i dont believe he will get a tag and has had a great preseason.
Leuenberger - I believe clarke will play Forward, so he should ruck 80%
Zaharakis - More midfield time than last year.
Hunt - excellent job security.
First round draft picks in bad teams + Harris - Good job security, cash cows.

All other picks are pretty standard

Backs: Very good - same as mine
Mids: Gaff should do well and Palmer should improve on last year.
Rucks: Not a huge fan if leuenberger yet although he is a gun in the making
Fwds: Solid and a bit different

Mids are a little bit weak, if your going to go with the 3 starting rookies stratergy you need to have atleast 3 superstars to cover for them. Palmer definitely not in that category!

Callinan is injured so you'll need to replace in your forwards. I'd also look at upgrading gian to chappy if you can, i believe he is a must have in the forward line.

I think there are better rucks than the big berger, but you have your reasons.

I agre with Hoggy, if you are starting the rookies then M3 has to be a premium. Also Conca and Polec on the bench is a lot of cash that could be spent elsewhere. My suggestion would be to downgrade one of those 2 to another chaper rookie, then use that $180k to upgrade Palmer to a premium like Bartel. I like your reasoning with Leuenberger, some may not agree with it, but if it pays off you have turned a midpricer into a keeper.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Palmer played a great game yesterday and is now locked in.

I am pretty happy with Swa, Boyd, Palmer combo  and would rather strengthen my forwards and backs to cover my 3 starting rookies.

Made a few minor changes to the bench - Lower played well yesterday and am thinking he will get elevated.

Hunt replaced with Lower - Higher scoring potential
Callinan replaced with Matera - Injured

I have 177k left in salary cap, how has Chapman preseason been going? Any chance of him getting another soft tissue injury.

Add 472k, i need to be convinced he wont get injured. If i do get him, which one of my top 5 forwards do you recommend i trade"?


Outside of chapman, can anyone suggest an upgrade in my forward or back line? as i said above i have 177k left in salary cap.

i dont know if gaff will give the scores u want from him, i had him but have since jumped off, palmer is a good unique but i reckon with 177K lest u can get a better 3rd mid, u might want to look at moving goddard or gibbs into the midfield to create a link between the 2 as u dont have anyone that can link with Heppell

Mid: Too many high-draft picks, not enough premiums. If you lay out in order of value you'll have Conca benched- 140k.
Ruck: Very weak. Good rookie choice.
For: Strong,good choice in Zacka.
I suggest going Pavlich to Chapman. One thing I'm worried about are your amount of keepers- I count about 11- most teams have at least 15. 794/1000
