swallow vs ward

i have two choices of combos. do i take:

ward (mid) and jack darling (fwd)

or

d swallow (mid) and petrie (fwd)

i think callan ward is due for a massive year. had a good season and hopefully over injuries... could push that average upto 80-90.

d swallow i think will get too much attention - GAJ then him in the pecking order.

hmmm dilemma!

if you need points from them then ward and darling but if they are on your bench week 1 then swallow and petrie

First of all, Swallow will not be GC's 2nd mid in the pecking order. Risky is a b&f winner at afl level, Harris was clearly ahead of Swallow last year, and Brennan looked awesome before he broke his leg last year.

Darling might not play much, Petrie will. There's your answer.

yeah true - it'll be interesting to see how the GC mids will work out.

i like the look of ward though. i think this decision will be one to make a split second before lockout
