okkkkk, we all have a stack of injured players....
here is my plan to overcome my injury concerns...

my team currently looks like this.

Hodge, Goddard, Fisher, Chornes, Houlihan, Hill, Petrenko  (Raines, Broughton)

Kornes, S.Tuck, Selwood, Cross, Rich, Beams (Anthony, Robinson)

Cox, McIntosh (Jacobs, Browne)

N.Brown, S.Johnson, Higgins, Giansiracusa, Richardson, Thomas, M.Brown (Walker, Warren)

Obviously Beams, Robinson, Richardson, Houlihan and Raines aren't playing this week (plus a few more)

here is my plan....
I trade Robinson --> Cockie
            Raines     --> Pratt

covering the zero of houlihan in my backline and the zero of beams in my midfield.
i can leave richo sitting on the bench this week as i can cover him with my emergencies.

this will leave me with 270k in the bank.
i can then next week trade....
Richo --> Franklin

and upgrade any of Petrenko, Beams, T.Walker, M.Brown to a GUN!

what are your thoughts on my plan? too risky?

harza

depends on how many trades you have left but it sounds spot on to me

yeahsup

raines to pratt??
im pretty sure hes out injured

Scratchy

seems like your asking yourself for trouble a few weeks down the track by trading in these untested rookies, esp in case of pratt.
doughnuts now or later?
personally i think raines will be back very soon. i've just traded out petrenko despite his attainable BE because i think he might be dropped, and i badly wanted to pick up andrew mackie.
yes trade out robinson to a 86k rookie by all means...
and then if you want to cover houlihan by trading him (personally with a BE of 33 i wouldnt want to) then you can bring in anyone up to 367k, guys like heath scotland, michael johnson, david mundy, luke hodge, andrew mackie (my choice).

but why so determined to trade out houlihan (still on the up) instead of petrenko.

of course wait until tomorrow afternoon to see the crows and melbournes' final 22 but if you do robinson to 86k, then another option is petrenko -> grimes.

we all hope and expect houlihan will be back soon and with his price to go up a lot more still i'd suggest holding him even if it results in a 0, as i will face in my midfield because i had gablett, dalziell, beams, hartlett, and only wanted to trade dalziell out of those 4.

however the 0 i see as a low price to pay for the gain of coughlan and mackie.

i have no idea what you are on about scratchy!?
I never mentioned trading Houlihan!!! i said i am covering his zero by trading in pratt this week. Broughton should be back soon and fingers crossed pratt stays in the side. i know it isn't a high percentage trade but it's worth a risk IMO.
Cockie will not have a huge ask, anthony and beams will probably come back within 1-2 each, and i may even trade beams to hayes, pushing cockie to the bench....

these two trades are a quick cover for this week, and a money maker in order to upgrade a rookie next week, i will trade accordingly to where i may cop a zero next week. for example if Houlihan is not back next week i will trade petrenko for mackie, as you mention. if cockie gets dropped i will trade beams for hayes. if i have troubles in my forward line i wiill trade walker or brown for riewoldt.

so you gain coughlan or mackie for a zero one week or you cover it one week and get hayes and then mackie further down the track, as i will still have 80k left over after trading (depending on which trade i decide to do)

i read the other day also ryan davis or cockie will be put back on the rookie list in a few weeks, plus with shuey coming back in so cockie maybe risky.

keep an eye on davenport from port or sidebottom from collingwood. a couple of interesting prospects in the weeks to come
