Premium midfielders

Jimmy Bartel v Matthew Boyd

I want to pick one of the two.  Jimmy is hard as nails encased in ice and Boyd is an up and coming premium in and under player.  Also how do you think Jimmy will go post Gaz?

Input appreciated

It may come down to who I feel like on the day before lockout.

It's that damn close, you can make good arguments for both.

both will score equally.

i would pick whoever you have less of their team in.

if you have more dogs, go bartel and vice versa.

or brad sewell

Seriously though, Boyd can't get any better. He won't be worse, so you know what you are getting. Bartell might be a 10 point per round better player, and he is cheaper. Or he might be dogged by injury/illness/missing gary too much and have a year like Joel Corey did in 2010.

I would actually consider Cooney, if he is fit for round 1. Take into account that he scored 6 in round 21 when he did the 'string, so that brought his price/average down quite a bit. The man scored 170+ in a couple of games last year and he didn't even have one of his better years. Plus he can ride an esky lid better than anyone else on earth.
