I am going  for a league win so i its better to have as many players who dont miss league games as I can. Thats why Im avoiding players who have two byes in league rounds. Thats why there is no Judd or Swan etc. My thinking is if I play someone and they have Swan and Jolly out and cover them with bench players for a loss of about 100 points that should give me a significant advantage. Does this make sense or is this a flawed approach?
Any thoughts?

my sentiments exactly,madmax75 , means you can have as many players as you want from freo, melb, sydney and brisbane, even on the same line, and not worry about byes

I am thinking the same thing - although I have still stuck in Gibbs - not having swan until after his byes does worries me but I am getting more confident by the day

well i think it is flawed will help for 1 or 2 rounds, but what about the others?  what happens rd 1,2,3  when you play someone who has swan judd etc in there??

Thats also a good point Nathan11 so maybe a balanced approach is the best. Have Swan or Judd but not both as Collingwood Essendon Gold Coast Port and North are the teams that have two byes during league rounds or finals. Im not picking any guns from any of those teams with the exception possibly now of Swan or Pendles. So the simple move for me is to move Goodes to the forwards for ROK and then trade in Swan for ROK in the middle. If teams that I play have a gun player or more from any of the teams above then they would still be at a disadvantage, especially if they also have Swan or Pendles.

think that's  much better  you could guarantee that they would have swan or pendles, so your strategy is still the same just with  less risk :)

Your forgetting the most important think for a "league" win.  Rookie ramping.  You will win the 'Home and away season' I will scrape in 7 or 8 but .............with all the rookies that I have cashed in, I now have a team that has no more byes and I will have one or two extra blue chippers in each line. 300 to 600 points.
Remember, get your team right first.
