And let's not forget Hawthorn's President advises sucking back on a kool mint or two to avoid being busted for drink driving.

Culture starts at the top.

Talk on SEN for the last hour has been reports from NZ that 4 St Kilda players were urinating publicly outside a bar and when a restaurateur asked them to stop a fight broke out and a second member of the public was injured trying to break it up and is considering filing assault charges against at least one of the St Kilda players.

Apparently this story has been floating around NZ for a few days now before all of this came out.

Boomz

Won't be long before an underage girl becomes involved at this rate ::)

It's ok Captain Reiwoldt will be wheeled out for a press conference to proclaim his innocence & proceed to blame his team mates for any unsavoury incidents.

Gotta love St Kilda for giving us such light hearted entertainment during the off season! They really are a joke of a club

Collingwood doesn't have a bad club culture. It's issues have been no worse than any other teams with moistly Drink Driving and shower. No drug issues like Hawthorn had with Tuck or the Eagles and now St Kilda.
Tell that to Moia Keilar Shaggy and she'll soon tell you what she thinks of Alan Didak  >:(

I don't think thats fair. ALL clubs have drug issues. To think otherwise is naive. And they are young people, they have money, mates, it'll happen to some and no level of club influence can change things if the individual doesnt want to change or has a serious issue. Thats how a lot of things start, but they become very serious issues depending on the individual's personality. Don't lose sight of that.

I know of a number friends who have had drug tales and encounters with other team's players.

Tuck is not an example of recreational drug taking that might suggest a culture issue. His is linked to severe depression which is a very sad case and highlights the problem with male mental health where many men feel as though they can share problems of this nature. Tuck is fortunate that he has a club support structure that can support him, something most people wouldn't have and yet he still felt too ashamed to seek help - from family, friends and the club.

Drugs are a societal problem anyway - it would take some poor leadership to allow a strong drug culture to develop in a club, which appears to have happened with the Eagles in the past.

St Kilda's problem isn't a drug culture, but probably at the core a discipline culture issue and probably a lack of maturity.

the eagles admin seemed like they didnt do anything because of the fear of risking a premiership, in which with the strong team they had, almost won two... or almost lost two... would have been interested to see what would have happened if players received suspensions etc
