A work colleague of mine came up with a thoery. This theory is based on the assumption that 24 trades is more than enough to completely upgrade your team and cover injuries.

He plans to start with Kane Kornes. Kane Kornes first bye is in round 12. At round 10 he will trade our Kornes for Ablett. This means he avoids the byes of ablett, as ablett has had both of them, and he doen't have to deal with the byes of Kane Kornes. Do you think that this trade is worth it. I suppose it really does come down to whether you think there are enough trades in the season to attempt something like this

not very wise......too many injuries happen and resting happens towards end of season as well

The same deal can be done with Carlton and Essendon players (ie. Watson, Stanton, Murphy, Gibbs, etc) The idea has some merit and I have thought about it, but as Gino said there is a heavy risk involved in doing this, as injuries play a huge part.

It's also important to remember that form plays a big part. GAJ could be injured, could be playing, but carrying an injury and therefore his form has dropped off.

It's very risky, but one that could be done with 1, or 2 at most, trades
