I was wondering what everyone is going to do on the ruckman front.

I usually go for two gun ruckmen but there are so many options for cash cows this year.
So I was thinking of going for a star and then two cheaper players to rotate?

What are your thoughts?

Also - if you'd like to join the supercoach.weebly.com official league, then the league code is 689168.

Cheers.

Went with the super-prem in Sandi and then a cash cow for my second ruck, who can rotate with one of my forward cash cows.
Went with the set and forget last year, gave me headaches with injuries etc.

Jolly has to come back yet

Gone with 2 proven guns in Sandilands & Jolly! Hopefully they both stay injury free and there will be no trades used on ruckmen.

What do you guys thing about having Petrie on the bench as your 3rd ruck? My rucks at the moment are Sandi & Jolly with Petrie & Derickx on the pine..
I am going for both league and overall, and originally I had Smith on bench with $100k in the kitty.. If I put Petrie in, I have no money in the kitty but I have a proven SCer for coverage when Sandi & Jolly have their byes.. Even if 1 off them get injured and miss a month or so, you could use Petrie as cover and not burn a trade.
Am thinking at using this structure and not touching it for the rest of the year.. If Petrie absolutely booms in price and scores well, I could always pick up the cheapest ruck/fwd in the fwd line later in the season and permanently put Petrie in the fwd line..

That's too much money on the pine mate. If you want Petrie as cover, then you need to have MPP with either one of the Tippett's or Hale, otherwise it's best to go with a set and forget policy with rucks and rely on your bench rucks to assist when you have a bye.

I personally have K Tippett, as my second ruck alongside Sandi, that allows me to swap with petrie in Rd 2. Still I am awaiting to see if Smith is going to play for the GC, if not I might go with J Tippett instead as the MPP, and have Jolly/Ryder as my second rucks.
