Selwood will more, Bartel had his year in 07'.

i would say Judd, but have awesome cover for the prelim!

Boomz

Swallow for mine... Will take it up another level again this year.

Usman

Its pretty safe to say Andrew Swallow is now Lenny Hayes in a younger body, id go him out of that lot

Talisman

Hodge - struggle to understand why everyone has dropped off him en masse!!

Ok, yes, he's no longer M/D MPP, but does that somehow magically change the fact that he is one of the best players in the league, surrounded by some of the best players in the league, in one of the best teams in the league???

Not to mention he is as tough as they come, is in the prime of his career (at 26 years old), has beautiful disposal, a great mark, strong & effective tackler, and he has just been elevated to the captaincy!!!

Also, in case anyone needed anymore reason to pick him, Al Clarkson has admitted he's got it wrong the last couple of years, & that this season the Hawks will be playing the ball more, as opposed to the man - therefore, likely to mean less frees-against & less 50m penalties against Hawthorn players...

So my vote is for... Andrew Swallow!!

;) Just kidding - clearly Luke Hodge - who, with even more reinforcements this year (Cam Bruce, a fit from the start Shaun Burgoyne, Rioli through the middle, I. Smith even on a wing) could easily be this years B.Goddard - similar characteristics & can play anywhere - back, mid, even forward!!

Don't forget ruck as well ;)

very good insight, thanks for that :) He has been either my number 2 or 3 midfielder this year (behind Swan and occasionally Selwood or Judd) since Supercoach opened this year and I feel he will be a good choice.

However, if you do want to conserve about 50K, I think Swallow will have a good year.

Hodge - GREAT Grab! Very consistent scores!
