I'm in quite a pickle this week!

I've got Gary Ablett (who doesn't?), Hamish Hartlett (he might play) and Dayne Beams, all of which are injured, as well as Jason Davenport who hasn't played at all this year, in my midfield.

I'm committed to keeping Ablett, so which out of Hartlett, Beams and Davenport should I trade? Do I try and get a cash cow for a few weeks, or trade for a premium midfielder and a young cheapie?

PS I've got about 275k of unused salary cap, and I've already got Selwood, Gibbs, dangerfield and Rich in my midfield, as well as Higgins, Ziebell and Richardson in my fwd line.

Bet your bottom dollar Hartlett will miss at least a fortnight. Just a typical hamstring strain that requires the rest and recuperation.

Word has it Jason Davenport might be the replacement.

As always, wait for the Thursday team sheets. If Davenport isn't listed, that makes the decision easy IMO.

I would make sure Ablett's replacement is serviceable. Even choosing someone who is half of Ablett (in DT scoring) is difficult to find in the rookie ranks.

I'm hoping Davenport is his replacement; I don't know why PA drafted a 23yr old for him to just play in the SANFL all year!

I'm thinking Coughlan as 1 replacement, and possibly someone like his Tigers teammate Collins or going for a Bartel/Coughlan double for 2 of Hartlett/Beams/Davenport.
