this young WCE player has not really been considered as a strong bench option in the FWD line. Weedon is priced at 97,600, it is his 2nd season, still yet to debut, he was picked at no.22 in 2009.

A AFL article was posted today with a comment on Weedon from the coaches.
"The second-year utility has been a standout through the Eagles pre-season campaign, making a giant leap in fitness and displaying polished skills.
Teague said the 19-year-old had an opportunity to earn a spot in the forward line based on his strong tackling."

if hes good at tackling, that means he could be good at DT, I reckon he should be strongly considered for a bench option.

Bluke

Its really a question of who you think will play more out of Darling or Weedon and who has more scoring potential.

Darling is cheaper at 92,000.

At this stage I have Darling listed, however, that could easily change should Weedon have a good preseason and is listed to play rd.1

good info popedelio, nice to cover a not-so-popular rookie..

But I'd agree with Bluke atm.  Woosha seems to give his top draft picks a go in their first season, after that it seems like its hard to crack into the 22, unless the team is in dire straits.  I'd like to see them both do well.

Certainly a good option if he's named round one. If he can hold his spot for 5 or 6 rounds then he's done his job nicely
