Unfortunately not.
I think it will take a lot for us to get them back, and there is nothing the Herald Sun can do if the AFL won't let them.

Even if official live SC scores were available, they wouldn't be 100% accurate. However there is a website that offers fairly accurate live SC scores (they have worked out a system that is about 90% accurate). I use this site frequently for fantasy (it has some great stats tools) but I don't bother watching live SC scores - I prefer to watch the game.

PM me if you want to know what website it is as I think it is preferred that other fantasy websites aren't advertised here.

herald are still doin quater by quater tho right?

As far as I know they are.

But even quarter by quarter scores are never that accurate since they can't tell when the important parts of matches are until the game is over and the points get recalculated to fit in the 3300 rule

hawk_88

Exactly so even if they were allowed they wouldn't be accurate. The quarter by quarter scores are what confuse people into thinking that SC is "rigged" and other rubbish like that where is they are at best estimates.

Personally I prefer to watch the game. I find that I can tell who is scoring well by who is playing well and can normally pick about 8 out of the top 10 and it is more enjoyable than watching numbers slowly rise.

Good points guys!

People see that Matthew Pavlich has 72 at 3 qtr time, and then he finishes with 130 despite not a massive last quarter. IT DOESN'T MEAN he scored 58 points in the last quarter, it means they've scaled other parts of the match.

So, although it still would be cool to have live scores, it doesn't really add much. Sometimes the DT live scores give you an indication of that players activity anyway. Watch those FA!

To take it to the extreme, when a play gets injured in the first quarter but their score after quarter time increases.
