Ok, I posted this at the end of one of the Luke Power threads, but I think it needs reposting ;)

In about 2 weeks, Daniel Rich should be traded for Luke Power :) WHOA!

Their prices are converging. Luke has a really high BE this week (140ish), and I imagine it will still be around 110-120 next week. His round 5 score is going to haunt him for a couple weeks. His price is going to continue to drop - to the low $400k.
Rich is climbing, and I imagine he'll still play to around 75-80. His price will hit much closer to $400k soon.

If I assume that Power has more potential for the rest of the season (100+ average, finding form), and that Rich has reached his equilibrium - then this is an awesome trade. We've converted a $100k player into a $550k player without even trying.

Normally Rich could end out the season I imagine on my team, but that didnt count on Power dropping so much in price. It will be close to a $150k drop. He can't be that bad, his price is similar to Franklin - and he's expected to pounce back.

Or its the worst trade ever.

Dees for the Draft

It's not the worst trade ever, but I'm not convinced Rich will max out in two weeks.

It depends who else you've got, but Rich could be a keeper for the season.

Yep yep, you're right. But I don't feel like trading anyone else in my midfield. I have Bartel, Joel Selwood, Gibbs, Ball, Winderlich and Rich.

Trading Rich will give me 6 midfielders who can get 100, with consistency.

Yeh, Rich might go up more - but then Power might be out of easy reach. I'm suggesting the trade because it takes advantage, thats about it. It COULD be a really good advantage, but it might not.

Have you considered trading out Winderlich for someone like Boyd, Judd, or Scott Pendellbury

If you've got that midfield, either you're a SC gun or you've got weaknesses in other areas that could be strengthened more.

Midfielders are the highest scorers, but all positions can rack it up if you pick the right players.

Interesting points - I had Dalziel, and so I just spent a bit to get Bartel.

I could just be a gun ;)

My backline had 4 premium players - Hodge, Goddard, Cornes, Newman. The other 3 are Houlihan, S. Hill, and Petrenko/Hurley.

So... not sure, those other 3 have been performing well, but they could fall back. Not sure if I'm really missing much.

Happy with my forward line. Only weakness is Ziebell, and Krakouer is going well.

Ruck - well, maybe that needs work, but that'll wait until Cox either goes down, or McIntosh gets close to $500k.

I still like Power lol.

Winderlich - well I dont think its worth using a trade to go from a 100k player to a 110k player. But, we'll see how he keeps playing. I definitely want a Boyd or Cross in my midfield, and a Judd

You can go with trading out Rich but i have a feeling if Power is still declining and Rich is still climbing it would be wise to hold onto the inform player.
Don't trade Ziebell, he will still continue to rise. I would say high 300k if he keeps it up, maybe more. Krakouer is on fire he is doing better then most high 400k players. So your forward line looks pretty solid as well.
If i was you i would look into upgrading your backline. Also Houli is averaging high 90's low 100's if I'm not mistaken so you have 5 players that get you 100 week in week out. Stephens Hills almost at his peak unless he starts scoring consistent 80+. I would look at trading Pentrenko for Broughton in your back line. Pentrenko looks to be out of favor with Niel Craig. This trade will free up cash to upgrade your backline. Also look at trading out another cash cow so you can upgrade Stephen Hill when he hits his peak.
Mind you i am telling you this assuming you have a few trades up your sleeve.

Thanks Pravis. Backline yeh - it has my weakest spot there, and I had a similarly weak bench (Cheney/Hurley) which makes it hard. I HOPE that Broughton plays soon - this round even - because I agree he'll be a good trade for Petrenko. Alternatively, if Cheney plays this week or next, I might just bench Petrenko for a while and trade Cheney for Broughton. Hurley will be back giving me some comfort.

5 premium backliners and i'll feel much more comfortable.

I have a trade left for the backline, but I can't go on for too long. One for the rookie, and then one to upgrade in a few weeks.
