Ok 3 guys to trade.
1. Boomer Harvey (out for up to 12 weeks)
2. Mitch Robinson (BE of 52, and a while off getting a game)
3. Jared Petrenko (BE of 56, probably to be dropped for Symes)

The downgrades for JP are really only Greenwood, Hurley who's supposed to be returning, and maybe 1 or 2 others, e.g. Bombers' Quinn who I don't see getting a 3rd game that soon.
The downgrade options for MR are more attractive: Barham, Hartlett, Collins, Thornton, Cook.

Both Hurley and Hartlett make only about 17k, whereas the other trades make about 65k, but in the long run Hurley and Hartlett may well average significantly higher and will make more cash over time. Either way the only difference it makes in upgrading Boomer is the option of Paul Chapman, who I still feel is too injury prone for my team that is rapidly burning trades. Hartlett and Hurley are also far more likely to retain their place. Hartlett has to squeeze in despite the returns of Burgoynes but I think he should so he is probably the most likely option. IF you disagree massively then say so in the comments; the poll is who to get for Boomer Harvey, with their break evens for round 6 in brackets.

Really good post Scratchy,

I'm thinkin' Hurley - but I'm a bombers supporter, so I'm keen to see him back.

Else, who could complain about Goodwin? Also on my watch list...

oooh, I mean, I want hurley into my side soon...

I do better at who should be "in" - I hate losin' a pleayer b'coz I bought 'em as I trusted 'em...

Jesterface

if you've got a good enough bench i'd wait a couple of rounds.
Buddy's price has already dropped 60k and his break even for round 6 will probably be around 120 so its entirely possible he'll drop again.
then snatch him at a nice price!

juddanaught

i think buddy even though he is going to drop price again is an absolute snatch at this price.

if you dont need petrenko to score for you this week id hold off cause broughton from the dockers will play so see how he goes then snatch him up the week after

and if you want to get rid of robinson the only player worth it is hartlett, all others in that list are no good. barham will go up in price if he plays but with his turnover rate i dont see him keeping his spot for to much longer. also keep an eye on sidebottom i dont think he is too far away from getting a game.

I have Petrenko and i have a spare $202,500 in the bank to spend what should i do?

Trade Petrenko out?

If so, who for?

StantonLEGEND

yes i like your thinking prospecotr, however i only see hurley getting into the team for maybe a david myers, but knightr has said that he wants to give myers experience so im not so surehurley will be getting a run as erly as predicted after all he only played round onebecasue myers got injured

SpeedMeades

Hurley would have played every match barring injury regardless of Myers injury. They don't even play the same roles.

With Ryder going into the ruck fulltime, there's a nice spot for Hurley at centre half back. Or move fletch/pears up there and play Hurley in the last line of defence.

StantonLEGEND

spead meades hurley will play hbf exacly were myers was playing ................no chance he will play chb his just too skinny and  + we got mcphee and lovett murray who would play there b4 him

Bomber Rock

I disagree Legend. Hurley outstrengthed Treadrea twice in his first game, both were really solid efforts. He is highly rated at Ess and im sure he get games as a tall back.

StantonLEGEND

i agree hurley is a good player however...however tredrea isnt comparable against players like jbrown and bradshaw in 2009. maybe four five years ago. i think that darcy daniher is in a much beter position to play on the weekend as much as id like to see hurley out there
