Interested in some comments/constructive suggestions on my first-pass team. Have just jumped back on the site so haven't looked at many other sides but guessing my backline is much like everyone elses.

My main aim is league win. What do you reckon?

DEF: B. Goddard, B. Gibbs, B. Deledio, G. Broughton, J. Grimes, A. Otten, D. Heppell (J. Toy, M. Hibberd, D. Talia)
MID: D. Swan, M. Boyd, J. Selwood, A. Swallow, D. Swallow, B. Jacobs (S. Atley, T. Mzungu, M. Weller)
RUC: A. Sandilands, D. Petrie (Z. Smith, S. Lycett)
FWD: L. Franklin, C. Sylvia, A. Goodes, N. Riewoldt, R. Petterd, C. Wilson, A. Krakouer (I. Smith, B. Matera, J. Tippett)

pretty swell team bud.

Backs: Similar to most teams except grimes for adcock.
Mids: Nice mids except personally would rather see jacobs in backline since there are many more oppurutunies for young rookies in the mids than the backs. Weller only averaged 54 dt points over 17 games last season so not sure if you want to reconsider or not.. U might of got him due to the GC leadership team so guarantted games but id reconsider...
Rucks: Good, cant complain
Fwds: Not bad except not sure if krak and wilson will get a game from round 1 as they might haveta work their way into the team but thats only my opinion.

Decent and sound team!!

thanks mate..
I've left Jacobs in the middle at this stage to utilse the mpp as I have a heap of MPP backs.

I like Wison's chance of early games - he was very promising at the end of last year and is getting a few pump-ups over here. Krak's is probably a pick I'm not so sure on. I'm wondering if Malthouse is getting some insurance for Neon Leon. However Kraks was playing at AFL standard last year through the middle a fair bit in the WAFL and dominated for the mighty Swannies. I was amazed at his form.

I may also end up flicking J.Tippett and letting the F/R mpp factor go for more depth up front.
