Hooper is highly talked about, I'd like to see Matthew Panos get a run but he is more of a leading forward.

Even though Panos was an U18 All Australian fwd, I think it could be worth Rodney Eade fully rounding his talent by giving him a defensive role to begin. He is very clean over head and takes a very strong mark and might just be worth a shot.
Even if he gets the staggered chance that Brodie Moles got last year then I'm sure it will be for the greater good for when, like you said hawka, Barry Hall retires and fwd opportunities present.

Maybe it's comments like this from SANFL u18 developmemt coach Brendon Phillips.... "The surprise packet from the Bay looks like being midfielder Christian Howard, who plays a swooping role off half back similar to Hawthorn’s Luke Hodge.
According to Phillips, Howard has ``come from nowhere’’ to be one of the draft’s leading prospects.

``I reckon he’ll maybe go in the first round,’’ Phillips said.

``He’s come from nowhere, a left-footer who kicks the ball beautifully.

``He was getting his 10 touches a game at under-18 level early in the year but by the end of the season his stats were up to 20 possessions a game and he was using it.’‘

Sounds like a good fit for Hargrave  :)

Wood is already in our best team even with Hargrave in.

Howard looks the most likely to be given the opportunity to take Hargrave's spot in the backline. He is just as good of a kick, and has pace which we will need due to the loss of Harbrow.

Agree but he did only play 11 games this year (partly due to injury yes) so I think he'll take Hargraves role.
