Ongoing injuries have brought the football career of Trent Hentschel to an end, with the 28-year-old announcing his retirement from the SANFL.

On Channel 2 this afternoon during the 1/2 time break he was being interviewed and said he was very comfortable with his decision. He has slipped nicely into a player manager role, something he had been doing since last November.
