Summary:

Collingwood Premiership Player Luke Ball had an outstanding season. Finishing 5th in Collingwood's best and fairest, and widely acknowledged as a key reason for Collingwood's 2010 success.

I selected him in 2010, believing him to undervalued after a very good preseason. Unfortunately, although he wasn't terrible, did not provide good value for money. Fantasy wise, Luke Ball has never been a great option. Which is odd when you look at his resume - Premiership Player, #2 Draft Pick, All-Australian, Best and Fairest winner, Former Captain. He had one glory year, 2005 when he averaged 116, and a decent year in 2008 when he averaged just less than 100.

But his role has changed, now being an in-and-under player that rarely gets rewarded with fantasy scores.

I'm happy to see that Luke Ball is still only 26. Still in his prime, and should have another great year. Just not fantasy wise.

Decision:

No. Way too pricey for minimal reward. Steele Sidebottom would be a better option :)

Now that he has had a season at Collingwood could be a decent unique however i am reluctant to go Swan and Pendles before him
