Hey just wandering what the magic number was for this season with the players prices, also how does the discount work? Like how many games do you have to miss for the 2011 season to receive a 20% discount.

Not sure on the magic number (never have a clue on where the number comes from) but discounts work based on games played. Pretty sure no games got a 50% discount (besides rookies so players who had like a knee reco who couldn't play this season). Think it was 8 games or less they got a 20% discount (for the most part) and 9-11 games they got a 10% discount. Although it was never for ALL the players so not too sure how it'll work exactly. But when the fanplanner is up in like 2 months, should get a decent idea on who'll be discounted and who won't (Hayes should be quite the popular pick :P).

based on 2010 with squad of 30 = season avg multiply 5.13

OR

based on 2011 with squad of 33 = season avg multiply by ~5.00

then apply discount as necessary.

so thats how it works cool. any idea what it will be this upcoming season. Will it be back at 5.13 or higher?

higher probably, the sub rule inflated the scores a little more than usual this year from memory

709394

it will depend on how many bench players and how many subs.

too early to tell.

Yeah this. For example with sc (sorry only way I can explain it)
If we assume that the subbed on and off players got 50 each then 3200 points are divided up between 42 players.
3200/42=~76.2
3300/44=75
So on average each player gets a point more per game. Not much I know, but when you consider that  the subbed on and off players normally scored less than 50 each it becomes more statistically significant.

709394

if we have the current sub rule and reduce the squad to 30 players.  then it most likely will be 2011 season avg multiply by 5.13.

this is unlikely to happen but to make more uncanny/unusual players more attractive, discount may be applied games missed rather than just injuries affected players.
