Are there players in my team that are on reduced training or not likely to play much in 2011 in my team. I havent really been following much this year.

DEF: B. Goddard, B. Lake, B. Gibbs, B. Deledio, J. Grimes, A. Otten, B. Jacobs (S. Iles, C. Richardson, J. Toy)
MID: C. Judd, S. Pendlebury, C. Sylvia, N. Foley, D. Swallow, A. Gaff (D. Heppell, M. Wallis, S. Blease)
RUC: A. Sandilands, D. Petrie (S. Day, M. Bailey)
FWD: N. Riewoldt, L. Franklin, C. Rioli, D. Thomas, C. Knights, D. Prestia, J. Lamb (J. Darling, B. Matera, T. Mzungu)
CASH LEFT: $89,100

Lake has been injured so get rid of him, rest of backline is good tho.
Nice mids
Standard rucks
Nice fwds

Overall 8.5/10 pretty nice team

j959

#2
Sound picks = solid team.

i would tend to agree with Knowall - Lake may be risky early on ... you can always have him as an upgrade target.

you could use the cash you save on Lake to upgrade one of your fwd rookies into a premium forward perhaps?? 2 fwd rooks on the field may be very risky but will depend on who you get i s'pose.

I like Jed Lamb just not sure of his playing time, esp early on - that Swans small forward position is packed ...

other considerations:

for league, you won't have Judd or Gibbs available for prelim finals wk
for overall, you will have to find cover for Franklin and Rioli in Rd6 and Mzungu won't be able to provide cover from your bench

Judd is a quality supercoach player no doubt. If you are hoping for league wins though he is one player that you'll probably burn a trade on due to finals bye...unless you have the cover but it wouldn't be as good as a premium...I'm not going to put myself in that position...players need to be traded because of injury so why create extra stress for yourself when the finals come around. Seems a no brainer to me.

thanks for the help guys. Judd was an iffy one for me and you have convinced me to get him out, just not sure who to yet. For me Gibbs has to stay, as you have to get all the points you can in the backline with so few top class premiums. The forwardline i have has major issues as j959 showed to many byes with not much cover and that has to be fixed but who do i take out of Mzungu, Franklin and Rioli? i think Hawthorn will step up this year hopefully meaning slight improvements for both players but Mzungu is a mature age that could make alot of money with solid cover. As for round 6 i have Sylvia in the mids to cover Mzungu who would have been covering either buddy or rioli but that still leaves me light on in the forward line in round 6 . im finding it extra hard this year with the byes honestly i think donuts are going to be very prominent as much as we hate the idea they are just going to happen with injuries to players and multiple team byes in certain rounds.

I know i went fairly detailed there but i reckon there is a real oppurtunity to get a very high overall ranking this year with the new format. If you go back through the years the top SCers weekly avg has risen every year due to experience but also due to increased planning and thought going into their teams, so i feel like the further ahead i plan the more of an edge i will have. Although you can never set your plans in stone or your gone cause nothing works out like you hope it will in this game. The reason for my forward line being the weakest link is because forwards are the most inconsistnet scorers making their scores fluctuate more and therefore being better bargains in that area than others.
