Summary: Jason Winderlich started Essendons 2010 season as one of their best and was acknowledged as an 'X Factor' of the Essendon team with his brilliant pace through the middle of the ground which was planned to destroy teams. His season started off poorly, only averaging 64 in his first 7 games, but he finished off strong, with an average of 100 from his last 11.A year on and his coach is gone, and it will be interesting to see how Winderlich goes under new coach James Hird, with a much more defensive gameplan said to be in the works.

Verdict:  I think it's a 50/50. Would be reasonably unique although consistency may be an issue, but under a new coach he may respond well and take his game to a new level.

In the midfield so is always a hard choice. Being a Bombers player, put him as 50/50 also.

He is certainly an X factor and can break a game wide open with his run (which means more points). Consistency is a tad problem but not sure what Hirdy is planning at this stage and where he will play some players who've been shifted by Knights.

I agree Aidan!

Didn't realise he averaged 100 over the last half of the season (especially since Essendon sucked so much in the last half). Maybe the unique I'm craving!

.... though he has a bye in round 24

Maca24

nar i wouldnt get him. i like to aim for 6 awesome mids by the finals.

Torress

its a very unlikely 4 me here.  agree with maca, i want to end up with the upper tier of midfielders. 'mind u if he increases his average to 100 - that'd be worth it. big IF tho. but that was the hope with luke ball, or about the same and he didn't in 2010. you'd pick a fit foley b4 him for cheaper or harlett from the power if fit

Fletch74

Not for me. Being a bomber supporter, I hope he does well, but I don't like the licka for my team, he doesn't do enough for me!!

Boomz

Not a fan of him as a player or an SCer so definitely no.

ronl

Ive seen him dominate games from time to time but, even though the talent is there, he has been far too inconsistent, plus a bit injury prone, all adds up to a probable NO.

Junktimer

Very very unlikely for me, dont particularly rate him as a player, let alone a supercoach player.
