Hopefully he does play. Wouldn't mind getting Clinton Young fit as well. He could play on a wing and Smith half forward flank.

Clinton Young is a very important ingredient in our success.  He was easily best on ground in the 08 grand final until he was injured at half time.

Yer he definitely was. Hodge was the general of our defence that year and maybe Bruce could be that.

Young IMO has the best kick in the competition and has done since 08

and has amazing pace. It is no coincidence that we did so poorly in 2009 when he barely played due to injury and his injury cloud this year pulled us down a little. When he is flying we look very dangerous.

Youngs injuries was a big reason we stuggled in 08 and love this guy so fast and can kick a ball a long way..imo hodge wont go back to defence we need him in the midfield

No Hodge won't go back but if we get Bruce he could try and play that position.

I don't think he would play the defensive general. More on the flanks and rebounding with the ball quickly. Move the ball quickly and get it long to the half forward/forward line. When we do that with our forward talent no structure in the world can stop us.
