you would have to be crazy to even look at x in the first place, even before this article. he doesnt have many upsides, only risks when picking him.

Absolutely he was (is) injury prone and hence a risk, but to state "he doesn't have many upsides" is absolutely ridiculous - especially at his price of under $90,000 - he was, what, a pick number 5 in his national draft ?  That shows he has talent.  With the mass exodus of Brisbane players last year he would have certainly gotten games with a virtually guaranteed midfield rotation ... he had PLENTY of upside if you were prepared to accept the risk !!

I had a theory with him that as a cheap MPP I might never use him for points rather just as that link player to enable the switch to be made.
I enjoyed watching him play in the NTFL and remain close to one of his cousins but that news above sees his chances of being in my team clucked  :'(
