comments from Ross lyon after the loss in the GF and comments following the draft yesterday, it seems that sam gilbert will be apart of a restructured saints forward line in 2011, that will include gamble. and Polo being drafted for extra depth in the back half makes it certain gilbert going fwd.  Kosi struggled last season, carried a ankle injury, but i think he might spend more time in the ruck in 2011. with the saints forward line most likely being riewoldt, gamble, gilbert, milne, mcqualter with stanley and kosi rotating through and a midfielder rotating through half forward. the question is how will this new role and new forward line going to effect gilberts scoring???

It is a good point, I think it will improve his scoring if he stays there all season and doesn't miss 3 goals in a row in the 2nd quarter of a grand final (ah, memories).

Nah, seriously. Could be some good value in Gilbert.

Gilbert always got his points from being a floater off half back. Being in the forwards, Could mean goals since he is more than likely listed as a defender. And defenders get more points from goals (Don't they?).

Don't mind Kosi and Stanley rotating ruck duties as they both are pretty solid. Stanley needs to get the game time and is certainly athletic enough to play.

Would love to see Gamble get gametime. He has potential to be a solid forward pocket and could be dangerous with Milne there. Mcqualter is a pretty good Flanker. Nobody ever notices him but he does his job almost every week.

Yeah i reakon his scoring will inprove.. i had him this year and was very happy with what he did... Definenly on the short list and maybe a 2nd or 3rd defender...

Nah, dream team is 6 points per goal, no matter who you are.

I don't think SC even care what position you normally play in.

Might be getting my fantasy games mixed up :P. Thinking of fantasy EPL for a second :-[.

Althought, Doesn't hurt if a defender scores goals ;). More points for us 8). Playin for the Saints, should get plenty of opportunites coming in for marks and shots.

Master Q

I'm strongly considering him, I think he'll improve his scoring in that position, pretty much agree with all you guys.
